BBQ at Shipdham Airfield   17th June 2018
On Sunday 17th June, Father's Day, it was the Club's Shipdham BBQ. After eating a lovely burger, sausage etc and strawberries and cream desert, some members had a look around the museum which tells the story of the Americans during WWII and also had a look in the hanger at the aircraft inside. Later two aircraft flew in from Priory Farm/Tibenham. These were a Titan T-51 Mustang called "Big Beautiful Doll" (G-MUZY 472218), a copy of a North American P-51D Mustang and a Zenair CH601 UL (G-JAME). Roy West and Brian Jacob worked hard and looked after us all very well, while the butcher kept up with the orders coming thick and fast. The butcher who supplied the meat and did the cooking (Mr A. T. Fines) has a Practavia Pilot Sprite (G-BCWH) which is kept in the hanger at Shipdham.
